Can I purchase a lot if I am not a builder?
YES , At The Greenways we welcome Individuals to pick out a lot and purchase it for the future home of their dreams.
How can I find out what homes are for sale in The Greenways?
We keep a current list of homes for sale in The Greenways which includes both new homes by the Builders and existing homes currently on the market by the Owner or Realtor. You are welcome to come by our office at 6003 Tuscany to get the list or we can fax or email the list to you.
Do I need to have my own builder?
NO , We have a list of Builders that you may choose from that are very familiar with The Greenways development, or you may select your own builder. All plans are subject to review prior to construction.
Does The Greenways have specific Restrictions?
YES , We do have covenants and restrictions to keep our building construction consistent which helps maintain not only the value of your home, but the entire environment of your neighborhood. You will notice that all homes have trees planted the same distance from the street. We have a Master Tree plan and each homeowner plants and maintains 2-3 trees in designated locations on their lot. As the trees mature in our development, a tree arbor on the narrow streets will be achieved.
Does The Greenways have special amenities that are different from other areas in Amarillo?
YES , The Greenways was named for all the additional parkways and walkways designed in the development. We have 80+ acres of parkways with winding sidewalks. These areas are in what is called a Public Improvement District (PID) which is owned by all of the residents of The Greenways and Commercial businesses on the perimeter. Each home has a fee of about $470 a year (less than $50 a month!) added to their tax bill to cover the cost of improvements and the maintenance of these improvements. Take a look at our beautiful entrances and right of ways along the perimeter streets as well as our interior parkways to see the great benefit of a PID. Our estate lots, Tuscany Village lots, and commercial lots pay a small percentage more.
Does The Greenways have a Homeowners Association?
YES , We have a volunteer board of residents that live in The Greenways that manages the Homeowners Association (HOA). Each Resident is required to be a member of the Homeowners Association. Some of the activities of the HOA include a family picnic, Easter Egg hunt, annual garage sale, quarterly newsletter and women’s bunko groups. The annual fee is only $33.
Is the location of The Greenways very convenient?
YES , We have a great location for easy access to major streets and the Loop 335 that ties Interstate 40 to Interstate 27 in the southwest part of Amarillo. We also have a CVS pharmacy in the northeast commercial corner of our development and convenience stores and a physical fitness center right across the street from our development. Within 1 mile from The Greenways there are grocery, home improvement, numerous retail stores, national franchise and local dining as well. We are only 4 miles from all of the Hospitals and major support medical facilities for the Tri-state area.
